We would like to introduce our patients to a new service we are using here called Florence (or ‘Flo’). Florence is a blood monitoring service that gets in touch with our patients via text message asking for their blood pressure readings.
These readings are sent directly to our clinicians, so they can monitor or action any patients who have blood pressures that are abnormal.
This is useful if you are someone who has a long term chronic condition, if you on are certain medication or if you are just developing issues with your blood pressure.
Don’t be alarmed if you receive a text messages from Florence as it’s not a scam and it doesn’t cost a penny – all messages (in and out) are fully funded by the NHS. This is not an App, or a sign up service either. Just a simple message.

Your blood pressure can be taken in the pharmacy, in our waiting room or you can buy a monitor for home, they are easy to use and relatively inexpensive.
