Urgent and Routine Appointments

We offer urgent on the day appointments and routine appointments that can be accessed online, by telephone or by calling in to see us.

Urgent appointments are assessed by our Clinical Team via a Triage System on the day and your appointment type will be decided by them.

Please note: We have a highly experienced Clinical Team that includes GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Nursing Team and a Physiotherapist and you will be seen by one of them, which won’t necessarily be a GP. The Triage Clinician will direct your request to the most appropriate clinical team member.

To request an urgent appointment (Monday to Friday between 8am – 6,30pm) and can’t use our online services, please telephone:

01234 988590

or come in to the surgery during our door opening times (Monday – Friday 8am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-6pm)

Routine appointments

We also offer routine appointments during our opening times, that can be accessed via our online service, by telephone or by calling in to see us, as above.

Note: Many problems can be simply solved by speaking to the doctor. Using our online service form will enable our Clinical Team to call you back. You can also request this in the surgery on the telephone, and our Reception Team will fill the form in for you.

Evening and weekend appointments

The surgery offers appointments (both face-to-face and telephone) at other surgeries in the area, in the evening and on a Saturday. You can request to see a GP or a Nurse at this extended hours service when getting in touch with us, online, by telephone or by coming in to the surgery.

Please note: Our phone lines will not be open during the evening and weekend appointment times , and if you have a problem needing attention on the day, please phone 111, the out of hours service, or 999.

Did you know a pharmacy can help you with a number of medical conditions?

As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses and they give you over the counter medication and guidance without contacting the surgery.

Problems they can assist with are:

  • coughs
  • colds
  • sore throats
  • tummy trouble
  • aches and pains

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription

If you need help with making your appointment

Please tell us, as we can help.

  • We offer Demonstration Sessions in the surgery to assist any one who wishes to use the online services, but would like more confidence in doing so. Please call us or pop in to fill a form in for this to be arranged.
  • If you prefer to come in to the surgery to make an appointment, this is still possible and our receptionists will fill in the online for you. This can also be done over the telephone.
  • If you need an interpreter we can arrange this. Please let us know.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs please do come in to see us or call on the telephone.

Home visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am, where the Clinical Triage Team will assess your request.

Home visits take up much more of our Clinical Team’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

**All of our calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes**
